With spring and summer coming up: Are you thinking about where to go next? We always get our peak inspiration for travelling in the early spring – after spending all the cold, gloomy days planning our next trip.
We’ve made a list of places we think are very much worth visiting. From wild nature and pristine beaches to ancient sites and busy metropolises!
You should most definitely visit some of the great destinations on our list. Let’s make your next trip one to remember!

1. Iceland

Fire and Ice in a Land of Wonder

A landscape with a waterfall in Iceland.

To put it simple: it is quite thrilling when you visit Iceland for the very first time, as there aren’t many places like it in the world. Above everything, there are a lot of breathtaking places to visit and wonders to see. Many geysers, hot springs, and volcanoes dot Iceland. Also there are enormous glaciers.

The downside of the location is the weather, which is very variable (but hey, it can be quite exciting also!) On the same day, you could witness three seasons changing: it could be raining and windy, and then sunny and quite warm. Wearing warm clothes, but in layers (mandatory – you need something you can take off and put on easily, and carry it in your backpack) is a very good idea. Also, travelling off season to Iceland is something you could try, but be prepared for it! Check out our genious tips for packing smart and saving space!

Nature in Iceland is quite gorgeous. Large waterfalls and verdant parks can be found. Just stroll about and snap as many photos as you want! Unparalleled are the Northern Lights.

Here are some activities you can enjoy:

  • Swim in the Blue Lagoon. The water is warm and good for your skin, also it is healthy to do so (for most people, check with your doctor if you have any particular health issue).
  • Walk on big glaciers in Vatnajökull National Park. This park is huuuuge (ahen, 14,967 km² !) and full of ice and snow, which is amazing for pictures! Absolutely worth planning a visit to it!
  • Visit Reykjavik, the capital. The city is a story for itself – to keep it short: visit Hallgrímskirkja, that one is an absolute must-visit! The people of Iceland are friendly, and their food is tasty – here is the list of places where you can eat on a budget in Reykjavik. Try some local dishes like fish or lamb, they prepare it in the ways like no one else!

You can find both peaceful nature and thrilling spots to explore in Iceland – depending on what you prefer. If you’re into photography, we recommend you to try a drone here. Obviously, be aware of the legal restrictions. We tested drones in a few spots, and had three models to compare, so to save you some time and nerves.

Every visit to Iceland brings new experiences and stunning photos. There’s no doubt about it – even regardless of your camera.

2. Kyoto, Japan

Where Timeless Temples Meet Cherry Blossoms

Two women standing in the street in Kyoto.

Kyoto is a stunning and historically rich city. It was Japan’s capital in the distant past. Traditional wooden houses and ancient temples are both open to the public these days. 3. Rome, Italy

History at Every Turn!

A picturesque cityscape of Rome, Italy.

Oh, I remember my first time visiting Rome! It was right before the COVID-19 era, and that was my las trip before the lockdown, so it stayed as a great memory for a long time. The city was – and it still is like an outdoor museum. After I have lived for 2 years in Milan and travelling throughout the country, I can say that Rome is the absolute diamond of Italy. In general, while living there can have its cons (due to bureaucracy), being a tourist in Rome is unbeatable – there is beauty on every. single. step.

Ow, also Rome has a lot of restaurants serving the most delicious food I’ve ever tasted! Pasta, pizza, wine! I loved every minute in Rome!

Walking around the city was quite the experience. It’s dotted with beautiful Renaissance fountains, breathtaking squares and ancient ruins. Your trip to Rome will be an amazing and unforgettable as it was to me.
